4/5 ELA EUROPEAN SCHOOL OF MUNICH Class – Biodiversity Awareness Activity

The students of the P4/5 ELA class at the European School Munich explored the topic of biodiversity. They discussed the importance of protecting animals, all living creatures, and nature, as well as the value of respect for every form of life. The students also reflected on how human actions can help protect the environment and support animal welfare through responsibility, care, and thoughtful everyday choices. As part of this activity, the pet dog of one of our students visited the school. This special experience gave the children the opportunity to observe firsthand the needs of animals and to better understand how much they depend on love, care, respect, and human kindness. This meaningful encounter brought our discussions about biodiversity to life and encouraged the students to become caring and responsible citizens who value and protect the natural world. 🐾🌿🌍 n our class, we also discussed the important topic of endangered species and the need to protect biodiversity around the world. A particularly inspiring moment was the initiative of one of our students, who, together with his family, adopted a sea turtle in the Maldives through a conservation program. He proudly presented his adopted turtle to the class, sharing information about its life, habitat, and the challenges sea turtles face today. This wonderful experience helped us better understand how individual actions can contribute to wildlife conservation and showed that even small efforts can make a meaningful difference in protecting our planet's biodiversity. 🌍🐢💙
